1.  My Gratitude to You

Dear CTH Readers,

You may be scanning or reading the CTH now.  You may have listened to our CTH conference calls the past two years. You may be planning to hear Bob Emmons on 12/28 or to listen online in the coming weeks.

However you connect with CTH, you are investing your scarcest resource--your attention and time.  For this, I'm grateful, and, as Seth Godin notes, I should be paying you.  I hope I can continue to be worthy of your attention in 2008.

Thanks for a great year,

Ben

P.S.   Here's a small, special-link discovery present to you as 2008 rolls in.  If you love film and a director at his best.  I, myself, was totally taken in and loved it.

4.  NEW The Gratitude Master Class:  Beyond the Letter and Journal: Nine Practices for Gratefulness - Robert A. Emmons, Ph.D.  January 2008

Emmons' summary of the research indicates that gratitude practices can increase the set range of happiness by up to 25%.

This is so impressive. Tonight, a colleague, Bob Siegfried, upon finishing Emmons' book, concluded that gratitude practices may be the sine qua non of happiness interventions.

For those familiar with research on gratitude, the gratitude letter and gratitude journal are powerful but, in positive psychology years, quite old.

I am so excited to announce that Bob Emmons will be debuting a new MentorCoach Master Class on "Beyond the Letter and Journal: Nine Practices for Gratefulness."

The exact January 2008 date will be announced in the Coaching Toward Happiness eNewsletter and on www.CoachingTowardHappiness.com and www.MentorCoach.com soon.

The class will fill quickly.
